Scimitar's versatility and wide range of capabilities has attracted owners from a very broad spectrum. Perhaps one of the most significant "telling features" of the schedule of owners is the number of proud owners who have a wealth of experience in the marine industry. Two of our owners either currently or have previously owned successful marinas and boat yards. We also have the owners of significant commercial and charter fleets, former boat builders and a retired captain, to name just a few.

The Scimitar formula has great support and enduring accolades from highly experienced delivery skippers who do not have the "pride of ownership bias" but do have a wealth of knowledge in a wide range of boats. Their high regard for Scimitar, its attributes and seaworthiness is therefore well founded.

To further endorse the success of the Scimitar and the fact that it continues to be the benchmark for power catamarans, we now have one of our owners [a former marina and boat yard owner now in retirement] who is the proud owner of his second Scimitar. Another owner is the proud owner of two Scimitars at the same time [one in his southern home port and one at a holiday destination]. A couple of other Scimitar owners are now looking at upgrading their current vessels to take advantage of the latest engine and electronics advancements.

We have owners who have worked their way up through the ranks of boating size and capabilities to achieve their dream of a Scimitar, as well as many others who have scaled down from larger vessels and have been astonished at Scimitar's qualities in terms of sea keeping, space and enjoyment. Owners and professional skippers regularly comment that the Scimitar feels and behaves like a vessel much larger than its size. Scimitar's maximised waterline length, beam, proportionately low profile design and engineering focus explained in other sections of this website combine to deliver an exceptional vessel with a proven and enviable reputation.
